Union on Yale is a new restaurant in Claremont in the Inland Empire. It is located at the Claremont Village on Yale Avenue. Union on Yale is a “farm to table” restaurant. They use meat, poultry and vegetables that are grown locally. Their menu has Italian and French theme.
The summer dinner menu includes raw (oysters and raw sushi grade tuna), pizza, Bocce which is served in small plates, salads, and single served items like cottage pie. Dishes which can serve a group of 3 to 4 diners is also available; carbonara pasta and fried chicken.
The wine list includes wines from California and all over Europe; like France, Spain, Italy and Germany. It includes old and new varieties from all over the world.
I had the flat iron steak cooked medium and it was perfect. The meat is very succulent but it needs more seasoning but it is very juicy. It came with haricot vert and roasted potatoes. The haricot vert is really tender but not over cooked; it was properly done.
For dessert I had the tiramisu which is served in a glass mug. Tiramisu is an Italian dessert made with lady fingers and dipped in coffee layered with mascarpone cheese. It is really very good, one of the best tiramisu I have tasted.
I have been there at Union on Yale several times and the food and service is always good. The ambiance is great very suitable for slow pace dining. The restaurant is really highly recommended.
